Charlie is a wise 9-year-old kitty, and if you ask him, he’ll say that it’s the perfect age. He, like so many felines, can be a great companion but also enjoys his independence. One minute he’s content to nap in a window, and the next, he’s energized by tossing around a few toys (he loves to play in boxes and with strings and rubberbands). And while Charlie does have spurts of playfulness, he’s ultimately on the hunt for a relaxing home. For this reason, he would do best without dogs or other male kitties in the house.
Charlie is a Manx, and the shelter describes him as “quite the looker”, with his big, bright yellow eyes and a beautiful coat of silver and white with a tabby pattern. Charlie also has a lot of personality – he can be a lover or a play-fighter depending on his mood, and he’ll do anything for a treat.
He’s had his ups and downs of late; Charlie was diagnosed as a diabetic soon after he came to Benton-Franklin Humane Society, but it’s currently under control by managing his weight and food intake.
Charlie has managed to stand out at the shelter, and he is definitely spoiled rotten by their amazing staff. If you think this big personality might be the one for you, be sure to stop by or call about him: He’s been fully vetted and neutered by the Benton-Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, WA. Find out more by giving them a call at (509) 374-4235 or emailing via their online form.
