We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

MEET LEO.

Age/Gender/Size: 8 yrs old / Male / Big! Leo’s 22lbs

Breed: Shorthair (white with orange)

Likes: Lots of petting, snuggling, visitors, checking out what you’re up to

Dislikes: Probably not too crazy about dogs

Special Considerations: No special needs, Leo is just ready to go home!

Meet Leo! The shelter describes him as a “cat’s cat.” He’s got personality and spunk, and is an independent boy who loves snacks, being petted, and curling up for a nice nap. Once he knows you’re his pal, he’ll cuddle up and purr.

Leo is a HUGE fellow — long, tall and solid, he tilts the scales at 22 pounds! This big cat is a good boy – while he can be over-stimulated, he does love to settle down and snooze. He’s an interactive cat who loves to play and is very curious.

Leo would likely be a great addition to home with a cat already.  He hasn’t lived with dogs and would likely do best in an adult home. He should be adopted by folks who are cat savvy and will be comfortable with a big cat who can become a little too excited. If you want to meet our Large Leo, contact Peninsula Friends of Animals in Port Angeles, WA by emailing them at: pfoa@olypen.com or calling: (360) 452-0414.

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
