We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

Age/Gender/Size: 7 years / Female / Small
Breed: Tabby
Likes: Rush loves a good cuddle!
Dislikes: Outdoors (she loves an indoor perch though to watch “tv” – birds and passerby are her favorite)
Special Considerations: Rush has a neurological issue and requires a special diet

Meet Rush, the resident cuddle bug. Rush is a gorgeous female Tabby who loves the attention and affection of humans. Her all-time favorite activities are lying on your lap or plopping down between your feet. She’s been at Pasado Safe Haven since she was a kitten, approximately 7 years ago.

She also loves curling up on the cat bed, balancing on the back of a chair, or just playing around. She is a young and happy cat with a loving heart and is looking for someone to give her a forever home. Since Rush enjoys companionship of both humans and other feline friends, she would make a great addition to a home where there’s a cat already.

Rush has a neurological issue that causes a limp tail and occasional urine leakage. Although she uses her litter box, sometimes the will be an occasional leak. She doesn’t let this slow her down, as she is still a playful young cat. Rush is on a special urinary diet, which helps to keep her happy and healthy.

Rush has been fully vetted, spayed, and is up to date on vaccinations. She is available at Pasado Safe Haven (Sultan, WA); you can begin the adoption process on their site or you can email:

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
