We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

Breed: Pit bull mix

Age/Gender/Size: 3 years old / Female / Medium

Likes: Living it up outside with hikes, playing fetch, and going on walks

Dislikes: Cats and small children

Meet Baby! This charming, sweet girl is all smiles now that the weather is warming up! Baby is a perfect hiking buddy, and she would love to re-energize for your next adventure by providing you with lots of love and snuggles. Baby is 3 years young and coming close to her one year anniversary at Pasado’s Safe Haven rescue. We know that Baby’s special someone is near! She is super loving and enjoys showing off her smarts (she knows so many tricks and commands and is adding more each day)!

Her caregiver at Pasado’s Safe Haven notes: “Baby has a lot of energy and wants to use all of it to please and be loved. When I say, “Baby” I love the way she turns and looks at me with her adoring soft brown eyes. One day we walked a trail to a picnic table and she jumped up on top of it and posed – portrait of a loving dog who wants to be loved.”

Baby is the sweetest cuddle bug you will ever meet, and won’t even need a special bed – she loves to curl up into a big pile of blankets (if she isn’t already curled up in your lap). She is full of spunk and would make a great running or hiking partner for an active household. Baby greets strangers with a smile and loves to make new friends.

Baby is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated with a flea preventative. Please contact Pasado’s Safe Haven at or call (360) 793-9393.

Every Wednesday,
Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
