Loves: Watching TV with her favorite humans!
Special Considerations: No kitties, will do best with dog-respectful kids 8 and older
Medical Considerations: Tripod (3 legs), luxating patella hind leg

Meet Olivia! This beautiful gal’s full name is actually Olivia Hussey, named after the Argentine-British actress. Olivia was indeed aptly named, as she is a huge fan of the big screen! She is currently available through Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, which is a volunteer run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, Washington. Like all pets available through Motley Zoo, Olivia is living with a foster family until she finds her fur-ever home.

Olivia came all the way from the streets of Phuket, Thailand from Soi Dog Foundation. Her right front limb was amputated due to having sustained a severe wound during a dog fight. Being a “tri-pawd” does not get Olivia down whatsoever – she zooms around the yard just as nimble as can be! Check out a video of Olivia gallivanting about here:

Olivia has a luxating patella in one of her hind limbs. Luxating patella is a condition in which the patella, or kneecap, dislocates or moves out of its normal location. Due to this, Olivia should abstain from strenuous exercise. Relaxed jaunts out and about the town are perfect for her however!

Though she will follow you around the house (or to the couch!), Olivia is not one that is pushy and overbearing. She’s a respectful gal, and very inquisitive. Turn on the TV however, and that’s when things start to get exciting! Olivia’s foster parent notes, “She looooooves watching tv and especially nature shows! If she hears David Attenborough’s voice she comes running. She follows all the action and gets really invested. Sometimes it’s like being in a live version of Mystery Science Theatre. She also likes watching animated movies with dogs and pretty much anything else that’s on.” Very treat and toy motivated, Olivia’s foster home notes that she even knows what area of the yard that she needs to stick to when doing her business!

If you are looking for a sweetheart who will be the first to greet you upon arriving at home with a smile and a tail wag, as well as binge on the latest season of Planet Earth with you, then look no further than Olivia! Just visit if you would like additional information about this kiddo. If you are interested in adopting a new furry family member, you can request an adoption application by emailing Olivia’s adoption donation is $400, which goes towards offsetting the cost of her vet care & other incidental costs of care.

Like all dogs that are adopted from Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, Olivia is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
