Why Not Me? Meet Astrid!

We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

Breed: Domestic Shorthair

Age/Gender/Size: 2 years old / Female / Small

Likes: Belly rubs, meowningful conversations and calm cuddling with a devoted friend

Dislikes: Boisterous living environments

Special Considerations: Sensitive tummy

Meet “Amazing” Astrid! This cutie-pie likes to take things slow, but once she warms up she is super affectionate and talkative! Astrid is currently residing in a foster home with the RASKC (Regional Animal Services of King County). Astrid is only 2 years old, and has been waiting for her forever home since September 2018.

Though she is missing the tip of her right ear, it only adds to her striking personality, as Astrid is very vocal – she is, in fact, quite the opinionated little lady! She will do best in a quiet home, with a family who understands that she needs time to adjust and take things at her own pace. As she is a kitty with a sensitive tummy,  Astrid will need to be fed a healthy diet to keep her digestive system purrfectly balanced.

A few of Astrid’s favorite things are belly scratches, sleeping in bed with her humans and giving oodles of affection. Once she has time to come out of her shell, she will be a very devoted part of the family, and keen to snuggles and chatting you up for hours at a time!

Amazing Astrid is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $30.00, and you can find out more from her foster home with the RASKC. Please reference her Animal ID Number A568632 and call 206-296-3936.

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
