Why Not Me? Meet Pearl!

We’ve partnered with Pawsitive Alliance for the #WhyNotMePets campaign to give difficult-to-home pets an extra paw up. These lovable pets are ready to find their forever homes.

Breed: Pit bull
Age/Gender/Size: 3 Yrs./ Female/ Medium
Likes: Playing, snuggling, and learning new tricks
Dislikes: Newcomers
Special Considerations: Her home must not have kids and no other dogs at first

Pearl is a 3 year-old, black and white, female Pit Bull dog (#A558861). Regional Animal Services at King County (RASKC) says that her personality color is RED, which means she’s a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! The full description says: “Rambunctious Red Animals in the red category are spirited, independent-thinkers. They may be particular about who or what they like or have quirks that are best suited for seasoned handlers. Investing in them will reward you with a cherished friend!”

Although Pearl may be nervous in new situations at first, once she warms up she will really come out of her shell! Pearl is full of energy and she loves to play. She is also a very smart dog and already knows “sit,” “stay,” “come,” “down” and “shake.”

Because of her high energy level and nervousness with new people, Pearl may do best in a home with no children. She may also do best as the only dog in her new home, or need to meet other dogs in the home first. Check out great pics of Pearl on Instagram under the hashtag #PearlKingCountyPetsA558861.

She’s fully vetted (spayed, microchipped and vaccinated), and is available for adoption at Regional Animal Services at King County (Kent, WA and Kirkland WA). You can call 206-296-7387 or email to set up a time to meet Pearl!

Every Wednesday, Healthy Paws will highlight a new pet from Pawsitive Alliance’s #WhyNotMePets campaign. Visit the #WhyNotMePets page for a list of adoptable dogs and cats.
